Collection: How to use cascara sagrada

  1. Bring 1 liter of spring water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Add 1-2 tablespoons of dried cascara sagrada bark to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the bark simmer in the water for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat and allow the infusion to cool for a few minutes.
  5. Strain the bark out of the infusion using a fine-mesh strainer.
  6. Pour the strained infusion into a mug or teapot.
  7. Add any desired sweeteners or flavors, such as maya honey, agave syrup, or key lime.
  8. Enjoy your cascara sagrada bark infusion hot or chilled.
